One of the important events that took place at the outbreak of Korean War was evacuation, which was not an act for survival; it was an event that changed the topographical map of Korean society's ideologies. While those literary figures who failed to evacuate(the remaining party) did writing as a means of relieving their guilty conscience and justification for treachery, those who succeeded in evacuation(Dogangpa) used their writing to show they were thoroughly anti-communist. Mo Yun-suk especially resorted to the structure of ancient hero epics, trying to depict herself as an avid anticommunist. As a result, she would reconstruct her memories of evacuation to her purposes. Her excessive emotions that compelled her to describe herself as an anticommunist caused her to beautify suicide and embody herself as a "pure anticommunist." She would declare in her works that he would rather choose death over being captured by enemies and having her body and soul fouled by them. Thus she made several attempts of suicide. Every time her suicide attempt was described very dramatic, she would appear as an anticommunist of action. She demonstrated so-called "political writing of suicide." In the end, the evacuation experiences to Mo Yun-suk were a sort of archetypical content or content of anti-communist mechanism for her to reconstruct anytime to fulfill certain goals.
