These days, we are living in creative society which is the new wave based on personal or group creativity. Deterritorialization, Informatization, and Globalization is accelerating this situation. Moreover, the paradigm of city policy is being changed from material growth to emotional comfort. On the other hand, it is called ��Creative City�� which is emphasizing local identity in the cultural and historical perspective and pursuing self-innovational capacity and sustainable development. However, in Korea, we don��t have many studies for creative city and even don��t know well about it. Therefore, I try to draw much attention about creative city and find out the implication to Korea through some examples-Kanazawa in Japan and Beijing in China. To achieve these aims, first, I try to study the definition, characters, and requirements of creative cities. Next, I try to find out the important characters of Kanazawa and Beijing as creative cities and analyze them. Then, I research the implication of construction and development in making creative city through the examples.
