In this dynamic transference process, the reader participates as both director and audience on the "Other's stage" and discovers him/herself changed. From this perspective, the essay will first examine Ki Jun-young's writing, that recreates Robert Bresson's film, The Devil Probably, as her own "fantasy". Her writing creates a transferential space, enabling her to distance herself from the despair she feels. Secondly, by focusing on reviews of Ki Jun-young's The Devil Probably, this essay examine how her writing actually affects the readers. Transferential writing, actuated by the writer's desire for healing, motivates transferential reading that effect healing for the reader. Consequently, the affective power and healing potential of transferential writing-reading process are confirmed.
