A Serious Slip of the Pen incidents in Korean society were accompanied by physical and direct violence, such as arrest, confinement, and assault against writers and publishers. A Serious Slip of the Pen incidents was not only an opportunity to inflict physical and mental violence against the author, but also to form a social hyper ego that determines what is right and wrong for all members of society. This paper analyzed Lee San-ha's poetic speech after the ��Hallasan-Serious Slip of the Pen�� focusing on Lee San-ha's poetic speech in Banality of evil.
The poetic speech of Banality of evil shows the inner side of poetic speakers struggling to heal the trauma of state violence remaining inside individuals and communities. The regressive speech is a way of expressing facing and thinking about the reality of violence. And Testimonial speech is a statement of self-awareness that rejects violence that suppresses humans and does not give up thinking as a human being. Lee San-ha's poetic speech as Theraputic Writing has two meanings. First, by reflecting on the past violence he experienced, he reveals the reality of state violence imprinted on the inside of Korean society. Second, remember the victims of human violence and recall their obligations. It raises the issue of 'human dignity and minimal human rights' seriously damaged in the current capital system.
