This study aimed to describe the systems of An Hwak(1886-1946)¡¯s grammar and its changes. To achieve this, I compared his book Joseon Munbeop(that is Korean Grammar, 1917) with Sujeong Joseon Munbeop(that is Korean Grammar Revisited, 1923) and Daehan Munjeon(that is Korean Grammar, 1909) written by Yu Giljun (1856-1914). Through this comparison, I verified that An Hwak¡¯s Joseon Munbeop (1917) must be influenced by Yu Giljun¡¯s book Daehan Munjeon(1909) in that the former was similar to the later in the format of a book, grammatical terms, etc. Also, I argued that he published Sujeong Joseon Munbeop as the revision and supplement of Joseon Munbeop in 1923, through adopting the grammatical terms and items which was based by the universal grammar.????
