First, it elucidates the End-Dharma. Dojak was living at the hellishly unstable era suffering relentless wars, famine and broken Buddhism from the end of Weijinnan to Sui Tang.
Second, it inherits the difficult ascetic exercises and easy ascetic exercises, which are the ideas of N��g��rjuna and Damnan, and establishes the independence of Jeongto Order by classifying and interpreting the general Buddhism into the self-oriented ascetic exercises and the assisted ascetic exercises. In addition, it suggests entering Nirvana with other��s assistance, which is the genesis of Amitabha since doing it on one��s own is hard to achieve now on account of the death of a Buddhist saint.
Third, our mind is so dumb that it is hard to concentrate on one specific point. Therefore, we must realize that we are an unenlightened, a common mortal, repent and wish for favor so as to continue chanting Buddha.
This can be found in Dojak��s daily routines. He held worship in front of Buddha at 6:00 a.m. every day, and chanted Buddha every time he found the time to almost 70,000 times a day. Not only that, but he had people at the age of seven or more keep on chanting Amitabha by counting the number of the small beans depending on their enduring capacity.
Moreover, he maintains that when one��s last moments of life nears after achieving the countless Buddhist invocations, Amitabha at the position of reward body and land will show mercy and lead an ascetic who prayed to Amida Buddha to the Land of Happiness. Furthermore, it illustrates that, after reaching the Elysian fields, if he learns the teachings of Sangji Bodhisattva, plants the root of goodness and truly realizes neither we are born nor die, then he would achieve the nature of Buddha's mind with no specific appearance.
