    The purpose of this study is to investigate competencies for a professional roles and competitiveness of information security company. For this purpose, competencies of the target company were defined by using the competency modeling. The process of building a competency model was applied through the method of using a resource panel, and 4 steps of procedure was designed. Each step are as follows.
    First, to get a top frame of the competency modeling, three areas of competencies ; core competency, leadership competency and job competency were established as a competency structure. Second, to extract the basic data about the competencies, literature study was carried out and 5 competency groups were structured. Third, to derive the competencies under 5 competency groups, the potential competency model was established through SMEs' interview and workshop. Fourth, in order to increase the validity of the derived results, SMEs and staffs went through the steps which reviewed and got feedback the competencies.
    Through the above research procedure, core competency for all employees of target company was identified as¡¸Organizational Commitment¡¹and¡¸Achievement Orientation¡¹based on core value and talents. For leadership competency, the three keywords like induction of team member's capability, leading execution, and performance management is defined as a key role of team leader, and ¡¸Conceptual Thinking¡¹,¡¸Self-Confidence¡¹,¡¸Achievement Orientation¡¹,¡¸Developing Others¡¹,¡¸Team Leadership¡¹, and ¡¸Relationship Building¡¹were able to extract by assigning the generic competency model. For Job competency about 15 job groups, 18 attitudes and 65 knowledges and skills were derived and defined.
