평안도 다��굿과 동해안 오구굿의 비교 (Comparison of Ogu Shaman Ritual Service in East Coast Area with Dari Shaman Ritual Service in PyonganProvince)

본고는 <동해안 오구굿>과 <평안도 다��굿>이 어떻게 같고 다른가를 의례의 제차를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 제의적 성격이 유사한 제차들과 의례 진행을 살펴본 결과 순서왿� 명칭이 다를 뿐 거의 모든 의례가 서로 일치함이 확인되었다.
망자를 이승으로부터 떠나보내 저승에 속하는 존재가 되도록 하는 의례는 큰 차이가 없으나 죽음을 인정하고 받아들이도록 하는 방법은 차이가 있다.
평안도 다��굿의 특징은 여러 번에 걸친 ‘기밀드��기’이다. 기밀을 통해 망자왿� 유족들은 차츰 안정을 찾아가고 죽음을 받아들이게 된다. 죽음이라는 것을 여러 형식화된 의례를 통해 눈앞에 펼쳐놓고 어루만지고 우는 사이에 죽음은 객관화가 된다. 죽음을 받아들이게 되면 망자를 조상으로 인정하게 되고, 망자왿� 산 사람들 사이에는 새로운 관계가 형성된다.
반면 동해안 오구굿에서는 그 양상이 전혀 다르다. 초��자굿의 ‘시설’에서 망자는 맘껏 흐느끼며 자신의 죽음을 받아들이지 못해 고통스러워한다. 그러나 초��자굿이 끝나고 놋동우굿에 들어서면서부터 굿판의 분위기가 바뀐다. 놋동우굿에서 무녀는 유행가를 부르고 코믹한 춤을 추며 유족들을 웃음으로 몰아간다. 초��자굿에서는 원 없이 울려주고 놋동우굿에서는 눈물을 웃음과 춤으로 바꿈으로서 슬픔을 풀어낸다. 동해안 오구굿은 눈물로 시작하지만 차츰 춤과 노래를 통해 눈물을 웃음으로 바꿔나가면서 죽음을 극복하는 것이다.

This study investigated the similarities and differences of Ogu Shaman Ritual Service in East Coast Area with Dari Shaman Ritual Service in Pyongan Province focusing on the procedures of the rituals. As a result of studying the procedures of other shaman ritual services that have similar properties with them, it was found most procedures are very similar with one another, though there are slight differences in orders and the names.
There was no big difference in rite through which the dead is guided to leave the present world and enter the underworld for the dead. However, there is a difference in methods to make the dead acknowledge and accept his/her death.
The notable characteristic of Dari Shaman Ritual Service in Pyongan Province is many times of “Gimil” service which is the process to console the spirit of the dead. Through Gimil, the dead and the survivors both can be calmed down and accept the death.
Through various formalized procedures for death and while they cried out seeing the dead, the death can become an objective one. Accepting the death, survivors can acknowledge the dead as an ancestor and new relationship is formed between the dead and the survivors.
On the other hand, Ogu Shaman Ritual Service in East Coast Area shows totally different feature in this aspect. In the stage Chomangja Rite with the song of “Siseol”, the dead cried out fully and feels agony as he/she cannot accept his/her own death.
However, when the Chomangja Stage is over and “Notdongwoo” Stage starts, the atmosphere is changed. In Notdongwoo Stage, the shaman sings the popular song, does the comic dance to make the survivors laugh. In Chomangja Stage, the survivors cry out as much as they want while in Notdongwoo Stage, they turn their tears into laughter and dance to melt their sorrow. Although Ogu Shaman Ritual Service in East Coast Area starts with tears, they gradually overcome the death by changing the tears into laughter through dances and songs.
