This paper has examined the relationship between and Pansori in terms of the performance of exorcism and its transmission process by setting <Simcheonggut> as the target. <Simcheonggut> is one of the exorcism materials performed as ��Donghaean-Byulsingut��. A considerable portion of <Simcheonggut> is similar to the details of <Shimchungjeon> which is a fiction of Pansori series and most of the epic details have been accommodated. The author has focused on the relationship between Pansori and <Simcheonggut> even more while especially trying to examine the awareness of Shaman toward Pansori and changes in the process of its accommodation. <Simcheonggut> material is the one performed by a female Shaman named ��Kim Dong-Eon�� who is an assistant instructor on the education to transmit Donghaean-Byulsingut. Today, ��Kim Dong-Eon�� is getting attention as the main character of Shaman narration performance among the Shamans performing Donghaean- Byulsingut throughout all areas including Busan, Yeongdeok, Uljin and Gangneung.
As a result, the fact that <Simcheonggut> and Pansori have a great deal of relationship could be verified. In case of the texts, it has developed by accommodating the Pansori series fictions while Pansori vocal sound and rhythm were also being used in <Simcheonggut> here and there. Especially in the East coast area of Gyeongsang-do Province, Pansori has been enjoyed as popular art from the time before <Simcheonggut> was actively performed; then Pansori was getting considerably influential during the time of performing <Simcheonggut> on a full scale.
However, the distinctive feature of <Simcheonggut> is that Pansori is accommodated based on language and music of the region. Naturally, while the tendency of getting to accept more of musical characteristics of <Shimchungga> is also shown as people can easily encounter Pansori as the society has developed gradually, its originality aspect is still worthy of recognition. The originality of east coast Shamans has even enabled the transitional accommodation of Pansori beyond language and music of the region. Even if it might be the same contents, even the creation of changing the rhythm or adding rhythm to new test such as Shim-Cheong dress up is being performed. This shows even the possibility as creative Pansori which is being attempted a lot today.
