This paper aims to prove that the writing of masochism actively shapes the healing process for the author by analyzing the themes, structure, and writing problems in Zacher-Masoch’s work Venus in Furs. For this, the relationship between literary therapy, psychoanalysis, and Sacher-Masoch are examined and the conditions of masochistic writing through the concept of ‘self-narrative’, ‘working-narrative’ and ‘primitive scenes’ of literary therapy are analyzed. This includes the examination of the relationship between writing and masochism through the trauma of Zacher-Masoch and the characteristics of masochism, thus ensuring the close relation between masochistic writing and literary therapy. This research could broaden the perspective, application, and understanding of the theory of literary therapy in Korea and allow for an understanding of the relationship between masochism and writing.????
