I. General Aims of English Education.

Learning English is for international understanding, intellectual training, cultural enrichment and interpersonal communication. So to speak, the students study English as a required cultural subject so that they may recognize their places in international society and to provide a fundamental basis for taking part in future international activities. English also develops the students` intellectual powers and increases their personal cultures.

To cultivate the basic communication abilities to use and understand English required in our daily lives. In addition to that, to accept the foreign culture rightly and make improvement of our own culture through the study of foreign language, so that we can introduce our culture to other countries.


1. To develop the basic communication skill with the interest and confidence in English.

2. To communicate naturally in relation to daily life and general subjects.

3. To understand the various informations from foreign countries and have the ability to take advantage of them.

4. To be aware of our own culture newly by understanding foreign cultures and try to have the right values.
