Topic: A leader you admire the most

One of the leaders I admire the most is Mahatma Gandhi, who spent his lifetime to give freedom to Indian people under the control of England in 1900s. England governed India as one of its colonies for almost one century. In that period of time, many Indian people suffered from many difficulties under the pressure, especially harsh policies which were performed by England government, such as high taxes, race discrimination, and so on. In this situation, Gandhi decided to make Indians free from these difficulties and give them freedom. So he performed civil disobedience to England and the method he used to make it success is ‘nonviolence resistance’, the most famous thing Gandhi performed. This resistance brought very positive responses from both in India, among Indian people, and worldwide.

1. Gandhi’s leadership style
There are many famous leaders in the world and each of them has his/her own leadership style, as Gandhi does. The first point of his leadership style is that he had a power to move people and makes them into action. Actually, he was not good at speaking in front of the public. He did not have speech skills compared to other leaders such as Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King Jr, who were famous of their fluent speech skills. When he had his first speech to Indian at Mumbai in 1985, he was very shy and started to stammer as he spoke because of a kind of stage fright.
