What do you think is the most difficult challenge for foreigners in Korea?
I think the most difficult challenge for foreigners in Korea is Confucian hierarchy system. There are two reasons why I think Confucian hierarchy system is the biggest problem. The first reason is language problem. Different to most languages, Korean developed honorific form of language very much. Even some words have same meaning but used to different people. This is very difficult to foreigners because they don't do it usually. For example, people should use other language to older people like 잡수다 instead of 먹다. 주무시다 instead of 자다. The second reason is different culture that behave more politely to older people. Of course foreigners behave politely to older people. However, in Korea it is very important and more strict. For example, we can't lift spoon when older people lift it. Also we can't stare their eyes. These culture makes foreigners adapt to Korea difficult.
