    Abstract

    This report is about the experiment of an ARM processor. In order to understand the concept and the principle of an ARM processor, we first introduce the theoretical background related with an ARM processor. After studying it, we implement some experiments through which we can check the operation of Zynq processor, mounting an ARM processor. We conduct the experiments also by using GPIO.

    1. Objectives

    We can understand an ARM processor and its important basic logic. For this, we should study the concept of SoC, PL, PS, master/slave, and UART, which are closely related to an ARM processor. By printing a message and controlling LEDs and 7-segment displays, we can better understand the concept of the ARM processor and deal with the basic logic of it.

    SoC stands for system on chip. It is a kind of an integrated circuit. That is, it is a chip which contains all of computer components or other electronic systems.
