Purpose of this experiment is a thing to observe change of mechanical properties and microstructure by heat treatment of gray cast iron. We prepared 4 specimens for an experiment. The first specimen will be not executed any heat treatment by contrast with others. Second specimen will be water cooling after heating in 900¡æ for 120 minuets. Third specimen will be air cooling after heating in 900¡æ for 120 minuets. Fourth specimen will be furnace cooling after heating in 900¡æ for 120 minuets. After such heat treatment, we will compare and analyze 4 specimens through observation of microstructure and measurement of strength.
