The movie ¡®Singin¡¯ in the Rain¡¯ was produced by MGM in 1952 and it is based on the chaotic 1920¡¯s Hollywood movie production industry when there was a dramatic transition from silent movies to an introduction of talkie movies. During the silent movie era, mainly the motions of the actors/actresses in the films amazed audiences and accompanying beautiful background music enabled such silent movies to contain more emotions with motions in the film. In this essay I would like to consider and divide repressed anxieties in the 1950s, into star system, production and so on.

The introduction of Talkie movies has significantly changed the whole movie production industry from actors to the movie production companies.
