After inspiring community, Ethan the dog named 'Ambassador of Compassion'

He stole our hearts and united the community.Ethan the dog has been an inspiration to many not just within Louisville, but far beyond. He was starved and abandoned, found in the parking lot of the Kentucky Humane Society back in January. It seemed his chances of surviving were slim, but with help from professionals and community members, he pulled through.He's not just living, he's thriving. As Ethan's story reached more people, he helped pull in a lot of money for the humane society to help not just himself, but many other animals in need.For all the good he did, the Kentucky Humane Society partnered with Kentucky Derby Festival, the Mayor's Give a Day and Feeders Supply to name Ethan "Ambassador of Compassion."A ceremony was held for him Tuesday, and he was showered with gifts.Ethan now lives with the family who took him in for home care during his recovery.
