Guests have said almost everything imaginable, but when they were shooting the show in Hawaii last fall, there was a first, Sajak walked off.

"I sort of had this mock exasperation, I turned, started to leave and came back and we all had a good laugh," Sajak said.
He took some heat for it. Internet headlines made it seem as if he left in anger.
"'Sajak walks off 'Wheel.'' Like I stormed off in a huff, and then I'm getting mail from people saying, 'If you don't like the show, why don't you leave it?' You know they didn't see the clip, they just saw the headline," Sajak said
Sajak had fun with it, but said people are watching for the game, not to see how clever he can be.
"If there's a challenge of doing a show for a long time, it's treating each show as a special entity and not saying, 'Oh, yawn, here I am in my 6,500th show.' Because for those three people, that's their one and only moment in the sun and they deserve better than that, and the people who pay me do, and the audience watching does," Sajak said.
Sajak seemed upset that his joke in Hawaii was misconstrued.
