UPDATE: Night hike canceled due to storm chances.--------------------Bernheim Forest is hosting a night hike for an epic view of a special moon.The hike will take place on Monday during this year's first supermoon. According to NASA, Monday's moon is called the crow moon, crust moon, sap moon, sugar moon or worm moon. It is also sometimes called the Lenten moon as it coincides with the Lent season.Learn more about what the names mean hereMonday's moon is also a "supermoon," a term NASA says was coined by the astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979. It refers to either a new or full moon that occurs when the moon is within 90 percent of its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit. NASA said the moon will appear full from early Sunday morning into early Wednesday morning.So for those who want to experience the "mystery of a full moon hike through the late winter landscape," you can sign up for Bernheim's night hike.It includes a walk around Lake Nevin Loop, with stops to observe the night sky, discuss nocturnal happenings and "consider cosmic connections."The hike is from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.It costs $10 for members and $12 for nonmember, you just have to sign up before 4 p.m. on Sunday.
