A very special dog celebrated his one year of recovery yesterday.Saturday marked one year since the Kentucky Humane Society found Ethan the dog abandoned in their parking lot.The community got together at PG&J's Dog Park Bar to celebrate "Found Ya Day" and the progress Ethan has made over the past year.When abandoned, Ethan weighed only 38 pounds and only had a 50% chance of surviving when he was first found.Now he's up to 130 and happy as can be.Background: Celebrating Ethan's big moments: Beloved Louisville rescue dog marks 1 year since his rescueEthan's new owner says he's thankful for the love and support the community has given to Ethan."It's been crazy to see his story to go all around the country, and to get letters and emails from people all around the world has been crazy," said Jeff Callaway, Ethan's owner and an employee of KHS. Over the last year, Ethan has thrown the first pitch at a bats game, been named the chief tasting officer for Busch beer's dog brew and partnered with feeders pet supply to release limited edition dog biscuits to benefit KHS and animals in need.You can keep following Ethan's journey on his social media page here.
